Lender Initiated Edits to Appraiser Profile or Settings

To eliminate some of the challenges you may encounter when creating or maintaining your Appraisal Firewall account, we are introducing the ability for lenders to initiate edits to appraiser account profile or settings information. This can be especially helpful if you need assistance with updating any expiration dates preventing you from accepting orders, setting vacation dates, etc. When a lender that you have a relationship with makes any edits to your profile or settings information, you have total autonomy in approving or denying those changes. Appraisal Firewall will send you an email notification alerting you to the lender that has initiated any edits to your account. When you next access your account, we have included a new overlay that will display an itemized view of all the fields that were edited. Approving the edits updates immediately, while denying the edits will keep your profile or settings information as is.

How to Use This Feature:
When a lender makes any edits to your profile or settings information, you will receive an email notification alerting you that changes have been initiated, along with the name of the lender that has initiated those changes. Below is an example of the email notification you will receive.

Select the Approve or Deny Changes button to be directed to your Appraisal Firewall account, where you can review what edits have been made on your behalf. Once you login to your account, you will be presented with an overlay stating what fields have been edited by the lender. If the edits are correct and meet with your approval, select the Approve button, however if you do not agree to the changes, select the Deny button. Please refer to the Approve or Deny Lender Initiated Account Changes Help Center article for a complete explanation of this feature.

Date Requested Updated to Reflect Date Ordered

We are altering the Date Requested field to state Date Ordered to alleviate any confusion when it comes to differentiating between Date Required and Date Requested. By adjusting the terminology, Date Ordered is the date the appraisal order was placed within Appraisal Firewall, while Date Required is the date the appraisal report is due back from you. Through this slight vernacular adjustment, appraisers and lender users alike can easily verify when an order was placed and when an order needs to be fulfilled.

How To Use This Feature:
All fields that previously stated Date Requested have been automatically updated to state Date Ordered for your convenience. This includes the column chooser and Export All feature on the dashboard and the print view via the Property Information tab.
